About
This weblog is not suitable for readers under 18 years of age.
In October 2009, a teenage runaway arrives in the city with a few hundred dollars, some hope, and the intent to stay. The Inventor follows her through the streets of San Francisco as she learns to survive.
This is a work of fiction. Protagonist does not exist, and neither do any of the other characters, save a few planned mentions of local celebrities. I have endeavored to be as realistic as possible, however, so most, if not all, of the places described here are real places in San Francisco. If you look, you can find them.
I update a few times a week, but don't keep a consistent schedule. I might post entries three days in a row, or go three days without posting. It depends on what needs to happen in the story.
The Inventor is intended as nothing more than a writing exercise, and as such, I expect to use several different literary techniques, and my style will likely change over time. As I'm using this project to get better at writing, I appreciate any feedback given.
